Where can I find psychology sources?

Answer

Where can I find psychology sources?

________________________________

The Library Portal

You’ll find a great many psychology eBooks and articles using the Library Portal’s main search. Use your EBSCO dashboard to save items and searches and add them to project folders. Use BrowZine to browse available journals and add titles to your bookshelf to read regularly.

Your Subject Guide

Your Psychology subject guide contains your module reading lists, links to subject-specific databases and key journals, and useful links and research tools. Under the latter, you’ll find professional bodies and organisations delivering up-to-date information across the field of psychology.

What else is available?

Content found within the following databases is not included in the Library Portal search so if you only search in one place, you’re likely to be missing out on high-quality sources. We recommend making it part of your psychology research strategy to search the Library Portal and our ProQuest databases in order to maximise your chances of finding what you need.

ProQuest One Psychology

An all-in-one research and learning platform, ProQuest One Psychology is designed specifically for psychology and counselling studies. It houses our APA content and much more:

  • 1200+ full text journals
  • 5000+ books and reference works
  • 70000+ dissertations and theses
  • 3000+ videos and 17000+ counselling transcripts
  • Archival materials on historical experiments.

APA Databases

You can also search each of our ProQuest APA databases - APA PsycArticles, APA PsycBooks, APA PsycInfo, and APA PsycTests - individually. Select ‘change databases’ from the menu in ProQuest to switch between databases or search multiple databases at once.

Google Scholar

Google Scholar can be great for finding academic literature outside of the Library collection. You can even link Google Scholar to the Arden Library to gain authenticated access to any sources that are available in the Library. Go to settings > Library Links and type Arden University, making sure to tick the box and save.
