How to search journals
There are two ways to search a journal.
- Basic search - Enter the journal title or relevant keywords in the search box, then click the search icon. You can "add term" to narrow your search.
- Advanced search - Want to make your search even sharper? Click Advanced search and then pick the field you’d like to search (like author, date range, specific article, citation, or DOI), and you’re good to go! You can also use wildcard characters and put phrases in quotation marks for extra precision.
Narrow your search by using filters
On the left hand side of the page are filters that can be used to narrow your search.
- Journal
- Type
- Subject
- Issue section
- Date (from - to)
- Availability (available, open access, free and available for purchase).
TIP: Exclude "Available for purchase" to narrow your search to content Arden has access to.
Navigating your way around an article
Each article begins with a concise overview. Look for the icons. They will guide you to additional details and helpful resources.
- PDF - lets you download or view the PDF.
- EPUB | PDF - read the article online.
- Cite - You can copy the ready-made citation but it is important to remember to adjust it to meet the Arden University referencing style guidelines.
Article contents - A list of the article subheadings can be found on the left side of the page.
