How many times can I meet with an Academic Skills Tutor and show them my work?

Answer

You are encouraged to meet with your Academic Skills Tutor (AST) as many times as you need throughout the course of your studies to help you develop your general academic skills.

However, you are only allowed to discuss a specific draft (500 words) of an assignment twice with an AST. In other words, if you would like an AST to provide feedback on a draft, they can look at the work twice.

We don't look at the same piece of work for a third time as it is important that our advice does not overwhelm your writing. However, you are always welcome to book additional appointments with an AST to discuss any general academic skills-related questions you may have, and which do not relate to a specific assignment.
